Massage therapy in the comfort of your home
Whilst the art of reflexology dates back to Ancient
Egypt, India and China, it wasn’t until 1913 that Dr
William Fitzgerald introduced this therapy to the West
as ‘zone theory’.
He noted that the reflex areas on the feet and hands
were linked with other areas and organs within the
body, in that zone.
In the 1930’s Eunice Ingham further developed
Fitzgerald’s 10 zone theory into what is known today as
reflexology. Her Ingham chart is the typical standard
used by reflexologist around the world.
The theory is that the feet contain mirrored maps of the
body and by stimulating reflex points on those maps
the body is encouraged back to balance. It is a deeply
relaxing therapy.
Reflexology can be used to help restore, balance, and maintain the body’s natural equilibrium. This gentle therapy encourages the body to work naturally to restore its own healthy balance.
